To Release a Breakthrough in QSR

16th March 2016

Virtual Drive Thru Is Here!

We publicly announce today that we've been working with Eagle Boys Pizza on a world-first technology, which is currently operational in Townsville stores.

Our technology is patented and we have kept it under wraps for a long time.

Along with Delivery Command, we now offer Virtual Drive Thru to all interested businesses.

Press Release

As the pizza innovation wars heat up, Australian technology company Delivery Command has partnered with Eagle Boys Pizza to offer a world-first technical innovation to Australian consumers.

The “Virtual Drive Thru” allows customers to order their pizza and have it delivered right to their car window when they arrive, without ever having to go in-store or wait in a queue. The system saves customers time and brings drive thru to new locations and food types.

The system will be available this Saturday at Eagle Boys Pizza stores in Townsville. Customers can request the service when they order their pizzas via the Eagle Boys online ordering sites and apps.

Nathan Parrott - Delivery Command CEO - said it was a groundbreaking innovation that offers an unparalleled level of customer service:

"The last thing you want when getting dinner is to be stuck in a line behind five other cars. With the Virtual Drive Thru, you simply place your order and notify the store of your arrival. The idea is to give the customer back their time so they can just relax while they wait for their order to be brought out to their car. Store owners save on real estate and labour, while customers get access to an improved range of drive thru options while enjoying faster and more personalised service.”

Mr Parrott said the increased efficiency is a win/win for everybody:

"The Virtual Drive Thru takes what has been a linear process and transforms it to allow many customers to be served simultaneously. For the customer, this means reduced waiting times. For the store, it means the rush is moved out of the car park and into the kitchen where staff are on hand to manage it more effectively."

The Virtual Drive Thru is the second product released by Delivery Command targeting the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) market.

Dr Alex Green - Delivery Command director - said the company is focused on using its engineering know-how to provide cutting edge technology to the industry:

"Fast Food companies are constantly seeking new and innovative ways to differentiate their brands, improve customer service and reduce the expense of their operations. At Delivery Command we specialise in developing technology targeting these areas."
